Take Me Back To The Rockies...

We recently went to Jackson Hole, the place of my childhood. Nothing makes Jeff and I happier than being there. Looking at this picture, would you ever ask why?


This was our hike around Jenny Lake with the kids. On our boat ride to the falls, we asked the guide how long the hike back around the lake would be if we opted to walk rather than take the boat. He responded, "About 2 miles is all." We thought, "Great!" Well, after our mile and a half hike up and down from the falls, that "2 mile" hike turned out to be an 8-mile hike! Of course the kids were exhausted after the first hike up and down the falls, so for the remaining 5, mom had Cole on her back and Steph, who is 5 mos. pregnant, carried 40 lb. Bella. We all thought we'd for sure be eaten by a bear before we reached the end. Fortunately, the only greeting we had was that from a heroic Dad and McKay who met us before the end.

This was our day fishing on the boat. Can you believe that Cole caught 1 fish, Bella caught 2, Steph caught 4 and Stacie caught 1?!!! What a day! Mac had his pole in the water all afternoon and didn't get a bite! I guess that's what happens when you bring the girlie's along fellas. Chanel just swung from the bars.
