Goodbye Summer...

The girls needed some time with their grandmothers, so off we went on a road trip! First stop-St. George to see Grandma Christensen. Second stop-L.A to see Grammy Swan. And we were everywhere else in between.

Thanks for the laughs mom. You are the most fun individual to road trip with! What other mother stays up all night, will travel any distance for a hand dipped chocolate banana, listens to "breaking dawn" with baited breath, never tires of shopping, and will nearly kill herself stopping traffic to make a mad U-turn so as not to miss a few dolphin fins splashing in the ocean?!!

Here are a few of our best moments...

Here we are riding our "pretty little surry with the fringe on the top".

Best Breakfast in the world found at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel! Oatmeal Brulee...yum.

Sprinkles cupcakes?...yes please! I heart you pumpkin.

Looks like so much fun. It's always nice to have a break. We went to Newport in June and Tiff told me we had to try Sprinkles cupcakes, so we went and found one! They were sooo good...pumpkin was my favorite too!

Your mom sounds like so much fun! I think that fun spirit was passed down to her kids:-)
BTW- You were 5 minutes away from our old apartment!! I miss it there so much! Luckily I have great friends here to help take my mind off of life in California:-) I love that we live so close to each other- we really need to get together soon!!! I think we just keep missing each other each week- either I'm gone or you're gone.
OH- and CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I'm so happy you guys are having a boy!!!! Yay!!!

I was lucky enough to sneak away last night and do my "girl" thing. I avoid stuff like that. Hope Jeff had fun!

Do you enjoy football season as much as I do???

Sometimes there is nothing better than a girls trip, and especially with your mother and sisters. I'm sure it was a blast, and your mom is the best!

It was so good to see and Jeff. Oh my, how the stories of your Mom made me laugh. I love how your Dad always tells me your Mom has to drive a "big" car to protect her from her, dare I say, "driving habits". I too have been with her and seen her make a u-turn in traffic that would make most people nervous just driving in. Nope, not you Mom, fearless woman that she is, she just sort of waves, laughs and off she goes making the most illegal u-turn in the books all in the name of something that she saw, must have, needs to see, and heaven forbid she see's a TJ Maxx...........lol!!
I am glad you all had a good time. love you xxx ooo

I just had a flashback of driving around Clovis in the back of the suburban with Whit and Tiff laying on top of someone's science project, rolling from side to side giggling while Vicki drove only the way that Vicki can drive. Such happy memories. Glad you all got to have a little getaway!
