ME: I'm calling to see if you're willing to let me borrow one of your puppies for the day for my daughter's six month photos. I'm willing to give you the full asking price of the puppy as a guarantee that I will return the puppy at the end of the day at which point I'd expect a refund of the money.
OWNER: no.
ME: do you understand what I'm asking? I'll only borrow the puppy for a few hours but am willing to give you the full asking price as a guarantee that I'll return the puppy.
OWNER: yes, I understand. Lady, I've been around too long and am simply not that trusting.
ME: you don't trust that I'll take good care of the puppy? I can't imagine what else I would do...
OWNER: no lady. I'm just not interested.
SAD! I was rejected so many times. After hours on the phone the day before her pictures, I finally found someone who was willing to trust me. YEAH! It was an 8 week old labrador. I was so happy. The only bad part was that she lived in Eagle Mountain! So far! So, the day of the pictures, my mom and I drove all the way to Eagle Mountain, picked up the puppy and made our way back to Alpine for pictures. Well, pictures weren't till 1:30 and I picked up the dog in the morning. I was going to call and see if I could pick up the puppy later-but I was too worried she might change her mind. So here I was, stuck with a howling puppy and an ornery baby all day! It was exhausting juggling two babies who kept waking each other up and moaning all the time. Unfortunately it was a tiring day for Chanel. By the time 1:30 rolled around, I set up the back drop, got the baby dressed and the dog wouldn't wake up! He was being so lazy! I'd put him in the picture and he wouldn't budge! Chanel quite frankly wanted nothing to do with him soI finally decided to wake him up. I ran around and got him all wild and threw him back in the picture.
This time, he was so enthused, he vigorously licked Chanel all over her face and all but walked all over her. She was flustered by this and immediately began to scream. You can imagine where it went from there. Well, of course I forgot my camera so I don't have the pictures to prove how exhaustingly cute the day was. Come time to take the dog all the way back home, my mom had swollen red eyes (she's allergic). She couldn't touch the dog and the baby only wanted her mother. Loading up the car was a journey. But, we finally made it and I've just been hoping we captured a few good shots.
Today, our adorable photographer Cami sent me these and it just seemed to make it all worth it...but why did I think I needed a puppy?

Just stop with how competely adorable she is. I simply cannot even handle it! She looks so grown up already! I love her innocent little face and smile. She melts me! Such a baby super model -- you need to submit that to someone - somewhere! Love her SO much!
